A shocking incident at Moanalua High School has led to a series of legal actions, with a prison guard's wife now facing charges. The assault on a beloved athletic director has sparked a web of controversy and consequences.
On December 23rd, Jamielee Noga was arrested by Honolulu police. She is accused of making threatening statements towards referees during a basketball game at the school, which took place on December 4th. But here's where it gets controversial: her husband, Aukusitino Noga Jr., allegedly followed up these verbal threats with a physical assault on Natalie Iwamoto, the associate athletic director at Moanalua High.
Jamielee was formally charged with harassment on December 24th, with the initial terroristic threatening charge being downgraded. Her bail was set at $500. In a court hearing on December 17th, a temporary restraining order was issued against Aukusitino, requiring him and his wife to stay away from Iwamoto for three years, including her home and workplace.
The repercussions don't end there. Aukusitino is also facing criminal charges, and both Nogas have been banned from all public school campuses for life by the Department of Education. Aukusitino's trial is scheduled for February 9, 2026.
