Neal Schon confirms a high-profile TV appearance: he and select members of Journey’s current touring lineup will perform on the Season 28 finale of The Voice. The guitarist announced on social media that he will hit the stage with a core Journey crew—Deen Castronovo on drums and vocals, Jason Derlatka on keyboards and vocals, and Todd Jensen on bass—to promote Journey’s upcoming tour. Keyboardist Jonathan Cain and lead singer Arnel Pineda were unable to participate, according to Schon’s notes.
Schon mentioned opting out of several other television opportunities to focus on this return to the spotlight and to support a busy promotional run after nearly a year away from the public eye. Reports from People magazine indicate the performance will feature a medley of Journey classics, including Lights, Lovin’, Touchin’, Squeezin’, and Don’t Stop Believin’.
The finale will also showcase appearances by The Voice coaches Michael Bublé, Snoop Dogg, and Reba McEntire, along with other fan-favorite contestants from Season 28.
Separately, Journey has announced the Final Frontier farewell tour, slated to begin in early 2026. Presented by AEG Presents, the North American leg comprises about 60 dates, starting February 28 in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and concluding July 2 in Laredo, Texas. The tour, billed as A Special Evening With Journey, promises a new concert experience featuring a production-rich show and a catalog spanning their biggest hits, including Don’t Stop Believin’, Any Way You Want It, Faithfully, Lights, and more, celebrating the band’s legacy, the love of their fans, and the journey they’ve shared.
Since forming in 1973, Journey has accumulated 19 Top 40 singles and sold over 100 million albums worldwide. Schon is a three-time Hall of Fame inductee (Oklahoma Hall of Fame, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and Grammy Hall of Fame), while Cain is a two-time BMI songwriter award recipient and a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee as a Journey member.
For clarity: Schon’s post notes that he will perform on The Voice on December 16 with members of Journey’s current touring ensemble.
